Directions
One way to read a decimal:
- Read the whole part first.
- Say “and” for the decimal point.
- Read the decimal part as you would a whole number.
- Finally, say the place value of the last digit.
We read the number 9.3546 as “nine and three thousand, five hundred forty-six ten thousandths”
