What’s a Percent?: Activity 2 of 3

Let's review some of the math covered in the last activity.

To convert a fraction into a percent:

  1. Take a fraction, such as 3/10
  2. Divide the top number (3) by the bottom number (10) to get 0.3
  3. Move the decimal point 2 places to the right and add the percent sign. (If your decimal is only one digit, you'll have to add a zero to fill that second place.)

0.3 = 30%

According to a recent study conducted by Trivia Corporation, 20 out of 20 test subjects put their pants on one leg at a time. What percentage of the study participants puts their pants on one leg at a time?
