Calculating Area: Activity 2 of 3

DictionaryCalculator

Directions

It’s hard to believe, but objects that have very different measurements in length and width can have the same area.

For example, a rectangle that has an area of 30 square inches can be 10 inches by 3 inches, or 6 inches by 5 inches.

Click “yes” next to the rectangles and squares that have an area of 144 square yards. Click “no” next to those that are not.
