If Sam drives at a rate of 50 mph, he covers 50 miles in 1 hour, 100 miles in 2 hours, and 200 miles in 4 hours. To figure out how far Sam drives, we can follow this formula, or mathematical rule:

Distance = Rate × Time (Distance equals Rate multiplied by Time)

We can also write this formula as :

D = R × T

where D = Distance, R = Rate, and T = Time.

Sam loves driving right at the speed limit. On the highway, he drives 65 mph. How far will he travel in 3 hours?
