Working with Ratios: Activity 1 of 3

Ratios can also be written as fractions.

Say a tortilla recipe calls for 4 cups flour and 1 cup water. The ratio of flour to water would be 4 to 1, or 4:1.

As a fraction we write this as 4/1.
