As we’ve seen, bacteria are single-cell organisms. Humans on the other hand are multi-cellular—that is, organisms made up of more than one cell. Scientists estimate that the human body is made up of about 100 trillion (100,000,000,000,000) cells! Some of the cells in our body are human cells—like blood cells, skin cells, nerve cells. But most of the cells in our body are bacterial cells!
