Graphs are a lot more than just a collection of numbers; they can show us patterns that tell a story. We can see that the level of CO₂ is always fluctuating (going up and down) in a regular pattern throughout history. This regular pattern of ups and downs is due to slight shifts in the carbon cycle, the great movement of carbon between living things, the earth, the oceans, and the atmosphere.
