Volume tells you the amount of space an object or a liquid takes up. How do you calculate it? To find the volume of a rectangular object, you can use the formula:
Volume = length × width × height.

Imagine a chicken bouillon cube that is 1cm × 1cm × 1cm.

Using the volume formula:
Volume = length × width × height
Volume = 1cm × 1cm × 1cm
Volume = 1cm³

So the volume of the bouillon cube is 1cm³, or 1 cubic centimeter (cc).

What is the volume of a chunk of cheese that is 4cm long, 2cm high, and 2cm wide? Type your answer (number only) in the box.
